Silly Knitting

I don't really know what's gotten into me lately or better yet, what's gotten into my knitting bag. Whatever it is, I'm stuck on knitting silly stuff. See:

I've got three sweaters on needles (one is from last summer), squares to knit for the Mason-Dixon Afghanalong, and swatches to knit for the shop and these two things are what I finish? Oh well, at least I finished something and finally figured out how to blog. All in all, not a bad day.

Well, I've finally made it to TypePad and the land of knitting blogs!

Welcome to my latest attempt at blogging. My name's Sheila and I am a knitter and soon to be owner of Middle Tennessee's newest and most unique yarn shop - My Threaded Bliss. It will be in Williamson County, most likely in Brentwood but finalizing a lease is proving to be more of a challenge than I'd imagined it would be. I hope that by the end of next week to have signed a lease so I can get into the joint and start renovating.

I've begun the process of ordering yarns and other items and Southwest Trading Company delivered a pound of their One Of A Kind, hand-dyed Sophia yarn today. It's 50% wool and 50% soy silk and it felts. The colors are truly breathtaking. A picture will be forthcoming, I promise.

Ta ta for now...work to do, swatches to knit, yarn to order, contractors to harrass, leases to sign, classes to schedule, newsletters to write, knitted golf club covers to complete, and so on and so on and so on.
