Cats got their day in the sun, as this past Saturday's Music, Mutts and Margaritas benefited the Nashville Cat Rescue. Even though Tim and Sheila of Nashville Pet Pictures were moving targets all day, we wanted to show our support for the cat rescue, if only for a brief visit. Thanks to those who braved the four o'clock heat to come out in support of this great rescue group.
Carrie and Camille showed up with two kitties, Nickel and Tiny Tim. Both of these sweethearts are available for adoption. The fundraising for the day had a special focus: the medical needs of Tiny Tim, who suffers from a ruptured eye and desperately needs it removed. If at all possible, please contact Nashville Cat Rescue to make a special donation for this operation fund. He's a sweet little gray tabby who will need a special home once his operation is behind him, so consider this option if you can as well.
The day's musical talent was Brian Van Meter and Robert McClenethan (and friends). As usual, the music was great, the margaritas cold and the dogs happy to be with their peoples!!!
For now, find the day's photos on our flickr site. When life calms down a bit, we'll get them into a photo album on this site as well but it may be a while since the family geek is about to be away!
