Not Just A Photo A Day

Thanks to Barrie at this great blog, I've decided to follow suit and rather than just take a photo every day, I'll process one as well. The bottom line is that Photoshop's been getting the best of me. Well, no longer. If I do it every day, I'll learn every day and pretty soon, I'll be kickin' butts and takin' names (a whole lotta that going on around here!)!

So here is today's picture after processing it in Photoshop.

And here is the same picture as it came out of the camera.

Truthfully, I'd have thought the original was a good shot until I played around for a few minutes. The biggest and best difference to me can be seen in the coloring on Harley's head.

All I did, for those who Photoshop, was to adjust the curves and the color balance. In the end, it wasn't even all that scary! Why I've let Photoshop intimidate me, I'll never know but thanks to Barrie, I'm inspired.

Another Oldie But Goodie

Harley had not lived in this house one month when I took this picture, still one of my favorites. This is also about the time that I got over a lifelong hatred of cats and started to wonder how on earth I'd ever survived without one. There are some more Harley pictures here though it's a poorly edited and totally unmaintained set it's still got some old ones I like.

Unfortunately, today I punt . . .

I took this one yesterday and it's only so-so but I had yet another MRI today and to get me not to panic in those machines I have to be pretty darn loopy and that didn't lead to a very productive day of photographing anything!

as for the MRIs I keep having, just keep your fingers crossed for me that they prove that my symptoms are no big deal at all. If you are so inclined, a little word with the man upstairs on my behalf would be very greatly appreciated!
