and she totally rocks. In all the recent confusion and activity I realize I forgot to tell you guys who will own Threaded Bliss tomorrow!
Among my many blessings lately, Dana being the person to whom I am handing over Threaded Bliss Yarns, a.k.a. my baby, ranks up there at the top (beat only by the fact that I basically walked away from being hit by a car, well almost walked away!). If any of you had asked me to describe the best person to take over, it would be Dana to a tee.
I know that change is often unsettling and scary but the only changes you guys will see at that awesome shop will be changes for the better. Dana's fun and creative and excited and has great taste in yarns and funny (she shares my 14 year old boy sense of humor) and spunky (in a good way) and full of great ideas for the shop and enthusiastic and nice and helpful and can both knit & crochet and since she has an accouting degree - for her, doing the books etc. won't be nearly the miserable big deal it was for me!
Please go easy on Dana at first since you know there is a learning curve but she's been hanging with me at the shop lately and she's smart as a whip and sharp as a tack so she'll be going full speed ahead in no time at all.
Join me and Emily (who is staying on!) in congratulating Dana - she's agreed to privately adopt my baby and allow me unlimited visitation priviledges in the future once new mama and her new baby bond appropriately!
Welcome Dana. Hope to meet you next Saturday on my way in to Nashville. I'll even bring chocolate.
