Okay, pictures as promised!

This one's been done for a while - it's my first Booga Bag from the awesome Booga J blog. I have to admit that in 20+ years of knitting, I've never received more compliments on anything! Thank you Julie for this awesome pattern.

Here's another of the pictures I found already on the computer - this was part of my Hanukah gift for my nephew Simon. There was also a matching scarf. Much to my delight, he LOVED them and now instead of Aunt Sheila, he calls me "Knitter Girl."

Okay, that's it for now as I continue to try to make up for lost blogging time!

Bad blogger - BAD BAD!

What a shame, I finally start a blog worth blogging and what do I do but abandon it. Shame on me. Truth is, I've been entirely consumed with the shop to be. At this point though, I am the retail version of homeless. Does anyone know of a good shelter for the shopless?

I admit, this is the most frustrating experience at this point. I've got boxes and boxes of beautiful yarns, models completed and many in progress, swatches galore, books, patterns, spreadsheets, floorplans, etc. but no store. After many weeks - practically months - of going back and forth negotiating a lease on what seemed the PERFECT place, I might just be back where I started. I did NOT hear from my real estate agent either Thursday or Friday regarding the potential, possible landlord's response to my latest letter of intent so I intend (hehe) to believe all weekend that no news is good news.

So what else have I been knitting other than store models? Squares. Why you ask? Well, they are for the Mason-Dixon Knitting Awesome Afghanalong. If you've never visited Ann and Kay's blog, you're really missing out and at present these two wonderful women are the organizers of the great afghanalong. They are amassing donated 8 inch, garter bordered squares that will be sewn into afghans and sent to those in need in Afghanistan. So here is a perfect way to use up all sorts of odds and ends, try that stitch pattern that's always intrigued you, learn intarsia or fair isle and work on something you can actually finish in a day. I urge you all to join along.

Soon, I'll take some pictures of my latest projects and post them since I know that posts with pictures are much better than posts without.

By the way, is anyone even reading this? If the answer's no, that's okay!

Bye bye for now.
