After years of resisting an iPhone because of my fierce loyalty to Verizon (we're talking 14 years or so) and fierce dislike of AT&T (the biz phone years caused that), I am finally getting an iPhone. And it's free because I won it from Squarespace in a contest on twitter.
As soon as I entered that contest, I knew I was going to win one. Irony works that way! Well, after much thought and consideration and itching to have that phone I've always wanted, I'm going to get the iPhone, I'm going to leave Verizon (any hints from anyone on how best to do that are appreciated!), I'm going to get a pocket protector and I hope that I don't go bankrupt from buying apps.
Can you see my excitement through these words? I am grinning like a child on Christmas morning!
Now, about Squarespace. I'm not just saying any of this because they sent me an iPhone (well a card to trade in for an iPhone at the Apple store). I'm saying this because not only are the folks that work there very nice (we've tweeted back and forth) but because I am seriously considering using them as this blog goes through its mid-life transition. (There seem to be a lot of those mid-life transitions going on lately so I figured why not include the blog!).
Check out this review of Squarespace and some of the sites that use it. I think it is seriously GOOD STUFF by good people. What more could I want for an amazing blog?
Threaded Bliss I started blogging in March 2004 to create excitement & good will in anticipation of opening Threaded Bliss Yarns in June 2004. While I owned the shop, I used the blog for marketing and promotion and it worked great. In 2007, I sold the business and traded Threaded Bliss for Wedded Bliss.
Now I blog because I like blogging!
Project 365 for 2008 Oh, it was with the best of intentions but I temporarily let the newly diagnosed MS take away the pleasure I got from lots of things I like doing - taking pictures and blogging were two of those things. It's mid October 2008 as I write this and I'm just starting to take my life back from the disease and its presence in my life.
Links I Like - Have fun and try to guess why!
Brass and Ivory Though she did not know it at the time, Lisa, her blog, her carnival and her words helped me so much when I was diagnosed with MS. She is a special person if there ever was one, go say hello!
Patients for a Moment This link takes you to what's basically the Table of Contents. I think I've had posts featured in the first and third editions and expect to see one in the next edition too. There's some good stuff around this site.
Everything Changes Blog Just found this because Kairol is hosting the next Patients For A Moment blog carnival (basically a really cool round up of what's going on blogland where health and medicine are concerned. PFAM will be the next link I post!
